The order of things

Five steps, in this order.

Each step links to a page here that helps you prepare. The online application and the booking happen only on the official sites.

  1. Gather your documents

Follow the list for your visa type; check name spellings and passport validity first.

    Document checklists
  2. Get the photo right

2×2 inches on white. The 35×45 mm size is for the reverse case, not for an Indian visa.

    Check your photo
  3. Apply online

The PDF generated on submission is the Webfile. Mistakes mean applying again.

This step happens on the official site; we play no part in it

    What a Webfile is
  4. The 15-minute booking

Upload the Webfile, pick a centre and date, and pay, all in one session.

    Prepare for the session
  5. Submit at the centre

On the booked day, hand in your documents at the centre you chose.

All questions
  1. In effect fromBooking

New rules on the appointment portal

You choose the centre and date yourself; a Webfile more than 30 days old is not accepted; a confirmed booking cannot be moved or cancelled. The report that “you can no longer choose a slot from 1 July” is not supported by this FAQ.

  2. In effect fromFee

    Processing fee: BDT 1,500

The visa itself is free for Bangladeshi nationals; this is the processing fee, all inclusive.

  3. Document datedDocuments

The High Commission's document list, 2024 edition

Every checklist on this site follows it. It adds requirements the earlier edition lacked, such as a Health Ministry NOC for medical-college admission.

Checklist

What to have ready before you apply.

Documents for your visa type, the photo, the booking session and the centre: check them once before you sit down at the portal.

  • Photo check

Pick your photo and it checks the size, file and background. The photo stays on your phone.

  • Prep sheet

Work out your passport validity and Webfile age, then rehearse once against a 15-minute timer.

  • Document checklist

Pick your visa type and tick each paper as you get it. The ticks stay on your phone.

Where the information comes from

Checked between 3 August 2026 and 27 October 2026; every fact shows its own date.

Who we are, and who we are not

Visa Prep is an independent, private project. We are not affiliated with IVAC, the High Commission of India, or the State Bank of India, and we do not represent any of them.

We do not book appointments, we do not arrange them, and we never charge money for one. Anyone offering to secure an appointment for a fee is committing fraud.
